NOAA Issue Date: 2/23/2019 01:17:00 PM A long duration winter storm will bring heavy snow to the mountains of southwest Idaho through at least Tuesday. Sites above 4500 feet will see 1 to 2 feet of snow with locally higher amounts along west-facing slopes. Gusty winds will accompany the snowfall resulting in blowing and drifting snow. Light snow accumulations are possible in the snake plain through Sunday morning, with a changeover to rain by Sunday afternoon. Snow accumulations of 2 to 3 feet in the crater and Diamond Lake areas with local amounts of 4 feet in the highest elevations. 10 to 20 inches near Lake of the woods and Mount Ashland ski area. Flood Watch

NOAA Issue Date: 2/23/2019 04:35:00 AM Low pressure will develop around Vancouver Island through the weekend allowing a moist westerly flow to setup across Oregon and northern California. Heavy rain and mountain snow will impact the area with especially hazardous winter weather developing in the mountains and rapid rises on all area rivers with some flooding expected. The Flood Watch continues for Portions of south central Oregon and southwest Oregon, including the following areas, in south central Oregon, Siskiyou mountains and southern Oregon Cascades and south central Oregon Cascades. In southwest Oregon, central Douglas county, Curry county coast, eastern Curry county and Josephine county, eastern Douglas county foothills, Jackson county, and south central Oregon coast. From late tonight through late Monday night rainfall amounts from Saturday through Monday of 2 to 4 inches are expected, with higher totals of up to 7 inches in Curry county, and lower totals of around 1.3 inches in central Jackson county. The deer creek at Roseburg and the little Butte creek at Eagle Point are two locations to watch in particular Six hour rainfall rates at times Sunday and Monday indicate possible debris flow and reports of log jams in the taylor creek burn scar may contribute to forest road damage. US 101: Neahkanie Mountain (Chasm) to Cape Creek Bridge (Various Counties – Tillamook County in Area 1) This project includes work on three bridges along U.S. 101: • Neahkahnie Mtn (Chasm) (North of Manzanita): This project includes a rockfall fence to prevent rocks and debris from falling onto the highway and bridge repair work. • Cape Perpetua Half Viaduct (South of Yachats): This project installs a new cathodic protection system, including installing a wind turbine generator under the bridge to power the system. • Cape Creek Bridge (North of Florence): This includes installing a new cathodic protection system and bridge repairs. At Cape Creek bridge, crews working on identifying repair areas, surface prepping, and setting up platforms for the arch span. Crews are present from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. At Cape Perpetua Half-Viaduct bridge, will be working on concrete repairs under the bridge. Traffic should be aware of single lane closures when crews are working. At Neahkahnie Mountain (Chasm) bridge crews will be working on concrete repairs under the bridge. Traffic should be aware of the potential for single lane closures when crews are working. The project is to be completed by the end of December 2020.

Use caution. 6th Through 11th Street: Waterfront Bridges (Astoria) Project (Clatsop County) (Various Streets) This project consists of performing work as follows: - Install and remove temporary traffic control and pedestrian routes (TPAR) - Install and remove temporary potable water and sanitary sewer systems - Perform earthwork - Install storm sewer systems and water quality structures - Remove and reconstruct six bridges and trolley crossings (Including tracks) - Construct roadway, sidewalks and ADA ramps - Install permanent signs and illumination systems - Perform additional and incidental work and called for by the Plans and Specifications This Project replaces six aging bridges at the Astoria Waterfront, at 6th through 11th Streets and to install drainage and water quality facilities at the intersection of Highway 30 and 30th Street in Astoria. Streets will be closed while construction is occurring except for Highway 30. Flaggers will control single lane traffic while construction is occurring at 30th St. The odd numbered streets (7th, 9th and 11th) are scheduled to begin bridge demolition mid-October 2018, and are to be completed by June 15, 2019. The remaining work is to be completed no later than June 30, 2020. Temporary Pedestrian Access Routes (TPAR) will be maintained throughout the work zones and will be ADA compliant.
