April 22nd, 23rd and 24th, westbound lane will be closed with traffic transitioning to center lane. April, 22nd through to April 29th, the bike lane will be closed to all traffic.

Bike lane will be excavated and replaced with concrete lane, which needs time to cure. Watch for signs (“Crew Working Ahead”, “Right Lane Closed Ahead”, “Bike Lane Closed Ahead” and “Transition Left into Center Lane”.)

Westbound lane will be closed approximately 3 days and the bike lane will be closed for 8 days.

Construction will continue on Chambers Street this week. The scheduled work consists of adjusting manholes to match the elevation of the new pavement as well as striping installation. For this week, no vehicle lane closures are scheduled. Vehicle traffic should expect lane shifts marked by traffic cones throughout the work zone. Street parking will be limited throughout. Bicycles will be detoured through Westmoreland Park. Pedestrian crossings and sidewalks will remain open this week.

This project is intended to enhance walking and bicycling connectivity throughout Eugene. 

Monday, 4/22 through 5/10 Road Closed due to construction of a new water transmission main and new storm water main. This impacts all roads intersecting with Hilyard from E34th to E40th.

Expect street closures and traffic delays while work is ongoing. Bikes are encouraged to East Amazon Bike Path to avoid this area. Pedestrians access will remain open on the east side of Hilyard. Please be aware of large trucks and equipment in the area. 

Ongoing water transmission main and Storm water main construction will limit all but local access between E 34th and E 40th. Local vehicular access is encouraged via Donald St and 40th 39th and 36th. Pedestrian access on Hilyard is open on the west sidewalk to Tugman Park. Watch for large trucks and construction equipment on site.

The project will repave sections of 8th Avenue from Lincoln Street to Mill Street, convert the section to a two-way street, construct protected bike lanes from High Street to Lincoln Street, add 4-way stops at key intersections, and widen sidewalks and reconstruct sidewalk access ramps. 

Motor vehicle parking on the south side of 8th Avenue will be removed and parking on the north side will be relocated away from the curb, to allow for the protected bike lanes. The project aims to create a safe travel option for community members of all ages and abilities to access Downtown Eugene.

Expect periodic closures and equipment and workers in the roadway. Follow signed detours.

West entry/exit of Leo Harris Parkway at MLK closed for construction from 4/3 through 4/25. Leo Harris Parkway East entrance past the Stadium is open for access to the stadium and related facilities. Entrance to the Eugene Science Center is closed. Happy Camp Rd is closed past the 2 mile marker due to winter weather conditions.

There is a planned installation of a sewer line. One lane of traffic will exist, controlled by flaggers. If at all possible, take a different route. Delays of up to 20 minutes are possible.

Laverne Ave. from Altamont to Crest will be closed from 7 am to 7 pm. Monday through Friday. Traffic closure will begin on April 22 and go to August 23rd. Please use an alternate route.

The city of Klamath Falls is upgrading its water line in this area. Please use caution when traveling in this area. Workers and equipment will be on the road.

Lane County will be performing bridge rail repairs on Green Hill Rd Bridge starting April 9^th, 2024. The project contract end date is June 30, 2024. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Please obey the traffic control signs, use caution and slow down through work zones to improve safety and efficiency.

Lane County will be upgrading ADA curb ramps, paving, signing and doing traffic signal modifications on N Game Farm Rd, starting February 20, 2024. The project contract end date is December 31, 2024. Lane County in partnership with City of Springfield will be installing storm sewer facilities, grading, and paving along S 28th St, from F St. heading south for approximately 1500 ft. Construction work starts on January 17th, 2024 and the project contract end date is December 31, 2024. Please obey the traffic control signs and flaggers. Please use caution and slow down through work zones to improve safety and efficiency.

Scour repairs and foundation strengthening at the abutments and piers, and to install new approach guardrails to County Bridge #2504A. 

The project will construct curb, gutter, sidewalk, street lighting and stormwater facilities on the south side of West Central Street. Additional features include enhanced pedestrian curb ramps and decorative pavers, trash receptacles, a bike rack as well as parking spaces and new driveways.  

Pacific Excavation is expected to complete all work by June 30, 2024.

Contractor, RL Houck Construction, will perform the work that requires closing travel lanes at night. Paving has been delayed and will now occur in Spring/Summer 2024.

Carter and Company construction has been contracted to complete bicycle and pedestrian improvements on Hayesville Drive between Portland Road and Fuhrer Street.

The new alignment of Cape Meares Loop is OPEN.

Alternate parking locations include the Lightwave lot, County boat launch off of Sunset Drive, Bob Straub State Park.

Old Emigrant Hill is seasonally closed in the winter due to limited snow removal operations and is only open to local traffic. It is not a safe alternative when I-84 is closed.

Expect lane restrictions, alternating traffic patterns, flaggers in use, sidewalk closures. Work hours generally 7 pm to 5 am Sunday through Friday morning.

Lane restrictions, flaggers at intersections, no right-hand-turns through worksite. Work hours are generally from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday morning. Crews will work in 400‐foot sections, and incrementally move from east to west with the pipeline, then work on smaller tasks after the pipe is installed.

Expect lane restrictions for drinking water pipeline construction. 6:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, with the exception of work at most intersections and other potential activities scheduled for nighttime work.

SW Kinsman Road Lane Closure

SW Kinsman Road between SW Wilsonville Road and SW Barber Street

Work will soon get underway to restore permanent concrete paving on SW Kinsman Road between SW Wilsonville Road and SW Barber Street for the Willamette Water Supply Program pipeline project. This work is planned to occur in stages, with temporary traffic control changing as work moves through the area to maintain safety and limit disruptions to businesses and the traveling public.

Anticipated Schedule: March 1, 2024 – June 2024

Traffic Impact: The southbound lane of SW Kinsman Road will be closed from SW Barber Street to just north of the TVFR Fire Station.

Note: This schedule is subject to change based on weather and other conditions.

Willamette Water Supply Program Wilsonville Area Pipeline Project Northbound Lane Closure between SW Boeckman Road and SW Hillman Court for pipeline construction and street restoration.

The northbound lane of SW 95th Avenue between SW Boeckman Road and SW Hillman Court will be closed during construction. Northbound traffic will be detoured to SW Boones Ferry Road. Traffic detour signage and flaggers will be used during the closure.  

Beaverton Hillsdale Highway will be restricted to two lanes of traffic, one eastbound and one westbound, between Western Avenue and Jamieson Road from January 2^nd through April 30 for pipeline construction. Western Avenue local access only for northbound traffic with single lane open for southbound traffic. Business access open.
