Barger Drive and Century Street

April 22nd, 23rd and 24th, westbound lane will be closed with traffic transitioning to center lane. April, 22nd through to April 29th, the bike lane will be closed to all traffic.
Bike lane will be excavated and replaced with concrete lane, which needs time to cure. Watch for signs (“Crew Working Ahead”, “Right Lane Closed Ahead”, “Bike Lane Closed Ahead” and “Transition Left into Center Lane”.)
Westbound lane will be closed approximately 3 days and the bike lane will be closed for 8 days.

Chambers from 18th to 24th

Construction will continue on Chambers Street this week. The scheduled work consists of adjusting manholes to match the elevation of the new pavement as well as striping installation. For this week, no vehicle lane closures are scheduled. Vehicle traffic should expect lane shifts marked by traffic cones throughout the work zone. Street parking will be limited throughout. Bicycles will be detoured through Westmoreland Park. Pedestrian crossings and sidewalks will remain open this week.

Enhanced Walking Network

This project is intended to enhance walking and bicycling connectivity throughout Eugene.
Monday, 4/22 through 5/10 Road Closed due to construction of a new water transmission main and new storm water main. This impacts all roads intersecting with Hilyard from E34th to E40th.
Expect street closures and traffic delays while work is ongoing. Bikes are encouraged to East Amazon Bike Path to avoid this area. Pedestrians access will remain open on the east side of Hilyard. Please be aware of large trucks and equipment in the area.
Ongoing water transmission main and Storm water main construction will limit all but local access between E 34th and E 40th. Local vehicular access is encouraged via Donald St and 40th 39th and 36th. Pedestrian access on Hilyard is open on the west sidewalk to Tugman Park. Watch for large trucks and construction equipment on site.

Willamette St between 8th Ave and 7th Ave

Excavation and concrete work will be ongoing at the northwest corner of Willamette St and 8th Ave. The southbound lane along Willamette St will be closed between 7th Ave and 8th Ave while the contractor rebuilds the sidewalk access ramp. The northbound lane will remain open, southbound between 8th Ave and Broadway will remain open, and 8th Ave will remain open.
Expect the southbound lane closure and traffic delays, southbound traffic is encouraged to use Charnelton St or Pearl St.
Cyclists are encouraged to use Pearl St or Olive St.
Pedestrians are encouraged to use the east side of the street between 7th Ave and 8th Ave.
Please be aware of large trucks and equipment in the area.

Charnelton St, Northbound Lane

The northbound lane along Charnelton St will be closed between 7th Ave and Broadway St until the concrete street reaches enough strength to support vehicle traffic. The southbound lane will remain open and 8th Ave will remain open.

8th Avenue Streetscape Project

The project will repave sections of 8th Avenue from Lincoln Street to Mill Street, convert the section to a two-way street, construct protected bike lanes from High Street to Lincoln Street, add 4-way stops at key intersections, and widen sidewalks and reconstruct sidewalk access ramps.
Motor vehicle parking on the south side of 8th Avenue will be removed and parking on the north side will be relocated away from the curb, to allow for the protected bike lanes. The project aims to create a safe travel option for community members of all ages and abilities to access Downtown Eugene.
Expect periodic closures and equipment and workers in the roadway. Follow signed detours.

Leo Harris Parkway at Martin Luther Junior Blvd West Entranc

Deschutes County Road Department closes Cascade Lakes Highway annually in partnership with the United States Forest Service (USFS) to provide for winter recreation opportunities.
