Lanes Affected: (Southbound) 2 Lanes (Northbound) 2 Lanes , Shoulder
Comments: Expect nighttime, rolling slowdowns, with pilot cars, both directions on I-5. There are intermittent NB and SB lane closures throughout the work zone. The rolling slowdowns are scheduled to last through May. The NB shoulder from Hugo to Sexton Pass, (MP 66-69),is closed until this fall, for building a climbing lane. This is part of a project to pave I-5 between Hugo and Glendale, and make safety improvements. Use caution and watch for construction equipment and workers in the area.

Details: I-5 MP 66.5 to MP 81.7 NB & SB (north of Grants Pass) Effective May 19, 2013, this section of I-5 will be restricted to 12 feet 00 in. in width and 16 feet 08 in. in height between the hours of 7 PM & 9 AM. In addition, the following ramps will be intermittently closed during the same time: Exit 71 (Sunny Valley); Exit 76 (Wolf Creek); Exit 78 (Speaker Rd); Exit 80 (Glendale). No restrictions will be in place from 9 AM Friday until 7 PM Sunday. Estimated date of completion is September 30, 2013.

Comments: There will be night work as crews continue with finish work. All lanes are open 7 AM to 7 PM, as work continues on shoulders. The traffic signal at the fairgrounds has been removed. Traffic from the Fairgrounds and Fairgrounds Rd. can make right turns and U-turns at either Ringuette or Redwood Ave. This safety project also makes pedestrian improvements on the north side of US 199, and repaves the highway in the project area.
