Comments: From noon 5/22nd to 5/25 at 11:59pm, all travel lanes will be restored to their original configuration; no construction activities will take place. The contractors will be placing shoulder rock, installing/removing pavement stripes and moving some barrier in preparation for traffic switch. The contractor will be restoring travel lanes to their original configuration of two lanes in both directions from Friday, May 22nd at 12pm until Tuesday, September 8th. Contractors will also continue to perform bridge construction and other miscellaneous preparations in advance of the concrete paving operation. Crews will be working on site everyday from 6AM to 7PM.

Comments: From noon 5/22nd to 5/25 at 11:59pm, all travel lanes will be restored to their original configuration; no construction activities will take place. Traffic will be placed in single lanes in the project both in the eastbound and westbound directions from MP 95.5 to MP 100.0. May 23rd the contractor will be removing traffic control devices and restoring travel lanes to their original configuration. The original configuration will consist of two lanes in both the eastbound and westbound directions.

Details: I-84 MP 103.5 to MP 105.0 EB & WB (Biggs Junction) Effective July 22, 2013, this section of I-84 will be restricted to 19 feet 00 in. in width. The height will be restricted to 19 feet 04 in. in height eastbound, and 17 feet 10 in. in height westbound. Effective June 3, 2014, the I-84 eastbound and westbound ramps to/from US97 will be restricted to 16 feet 00 in. in width. Loads wider than 16 feet 00 in. in width should use Exit 109 (Rufus) to/from US97. In addition, effective November 1, 2014, the I-84 eastbound ramps to/from US97, and the ramp from I-84 westbound to US97 will be restricted to 14 feet 00 in. in width. Loads wider than 14 feet 00 in. in width should use Exit 109 (Rufus) to/from US97. Estimated date of completion is June 1, 2015.

US26 MP 49 to 56

Comments: Work Monday through Friday from sunrise to sunset with 24-hour flagging US 26 closes 5:30-6:30 p.m. May 19 and 21 for rock blasting. Traffic Impacts: K&E Excavating will work Tuesday through Friday from sunrise to sunset. This week's work will include 24-hour flagging on the west end of the project and blasting on Tuesday, May 26 and Thursday, May 28 and intermittent flagging throughout the three-mile project area. Hauling will also continue along Lolo Pass Road and Trillium Lake Road. Details include: U.S. 26 24-hour flagging will occur on the west end of the project at Map Curve from 5 a.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Friday. Delays associated with the flagging should be minimal; however, it could last up to 20-minutes. Starting at 10 a.m. Friday and until 5 a.m. Tuesday, U.S. 26 will have one lane open in each direction. The 24-hour flagging will allow the contractor to place a shipping container along the north side of U.S. 26 between the work on the steep slopes and traffic on the highway to prevent rocks from rolling into U.S. 26. Travelers should expect up to one hour closure of U.S. 26 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 26 and Thursday, May 28 for rock blasting. This is subject to change due to site conditions and work progress. Tuesday through Friday during daylight hours, travelers will encounter traffic stops controlled by flaggers, with lane and shoulder closures from sunrise to sunset throughout the three-mile project area. With the exception of 24-hour flagging, one lane will remain open in each direction for a nearly three-mile stretch of U.S. 26 from east of Kiwanis Camp Road to east of the Mirror Lake Curves. This lane closure will remain in place around-the-clock until October 31. Lolo Pass Road Thursday, May 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., flaggers will direct travelers in sections of a three-mile stretch of Lolo Pass Road north of U.S. 26 for localized pavement repairs. This work is weather dependent and can be rescheduled. Hauling will continue along Lolo Pass Road and take place Tuesday through Friday from sunrise to sunset. People in the area should use caution and expect truck traffic. Trillium Lake Road Hauling will continue along Trillium Lake Road and take place Tuesday through Friday from sunrise to sunset. Road 31 Road 31 will be closed to all traffic around-the-clock Tuesday through Thursday. Laurel Hill Trail Trail closures as crews work on nearby slopes.
