I-84 MP 83.5 to 88.5

Comments: Contractors will be working around exit 87 on the 3 Mile Creek Bridge. Barrier will be used to shift traffic that uses the exit around the work zone. All travel lanes except WB I-84 from MP 87.5 to MP 87.0 will be in their original configuration of two lanes in both directions until Tuesday, September 8th. I84 WB from MP 87.5 to 87 will be reduced to a single lane. Speeds will be reduced to 50mph on I84 through the work zone for the entirety of the project. Traffic can expect minimal delays.

I-84 MP 95 to 111

Lanes Affected: (Westbound) 1 Lane (Eastbound) 1 Lane
Comments: Contractors will be grinding and paving with single lane closures east and west bound 7PM to 7AM. Traffic can expect no to minimal delays. I-84 will be reduced to single lane traffic in the west bound direction Sunday night and east bound the remainder of the week. The speed limit will be reduced to 50 MPH in the work zone. Oregon Mainline Paving will be replacing the top 2” of pavement in both the slow and fast lanes on Interstate 84. They will also replace the shoulder rumble strips, along with substandard median barrier with new barrier that meets today’s requirements for crash worthiness. The barrier replacement will take place during the day, while the paving operation and other project related activities will happen at night.

US26 MP 49 to 56

Comments: 24-hour flagging on the west end of the project from 5 a.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Friday. Blasting will close the hwy 6:30-7:30 pm Monday, Tuesday & Thurs Construction of safety improvements to prevent severe and fatal crashes on U.S. 26 from east of Kiwanis Camp Road to east of the Mirror Lake Curves and preserve the highway to Oregon Highway 35 is underway on Mt. Hood. Work on the nearly eight mile stretch of U.S. 26 includes: • Paving between Silent Rock and OR 35. • Cutting back the slope along a 600 foot section at Map Curve to provide a 27 foot wide ditch for rocks to land away from the road. • Cutting back the rock slope east of the runaway truck ramp to east of the Mirror Lake trailhead. • Highway widening to install a median barrier. • Constructing a retaining wall to reduce impacts to existing trails from highway widening work. • Extending the westbound passing lanes for a total of about 1,400 feet. Traffic Impacts: K&E Excavating will work Monday through Thursday from sunrise to sunset. This week's work will require flagging throughout the three-mile project area and blasting on Monday and Tuesday. Hauling will also continue along Lolo Pass Road and Trillium Lake Road. Details include: U.S. 26 • Travelers should expect up to one hour closure of U.S. 26 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday and Tuesday for rock blasting. This is subject to change due to site conditions and work progress. • Monday through Thursday during daylight hours, travelers will encounter traffic stops controlled by flaggers, with lane and shoulder closures from sunrise to sunset throughout the three-mile project area. Travelers should expect up to 20-minutes. • One lane will remain open in each direction for a nearly three-mile stretch of U.S. 26 from east of Kiwanis Camp Road to east of the Mirror Lake Curves. This lane closure will remain in place around-the-clock until October 31. Lolo Pass Road • Hauling will continue along Lolo Pass Road and take place Monday through Thursday from sunrise to sunset. People in the area should use caution and expect truck traffic. Trillium Lake Road • Hauling will continue along Trillium Lake Road and take place Monday through Thursday from sunrise to sunset. Road 31 • Road 31 will be closed to all traffic around-the-clock Monday through Thursday. Laurel Hill Trail • Trail closures as crews work on nearby slopes. Details: US26 MP 47.20 to MP 57.45 EB & WB (Government Camp) Beginning April 1, 2015, this section of US26 will be closed for approximately 30 minutes per the following schedule: In April, May, September, and October: 30-minute closures may occur Mon/Tues/Thurs nights between the hours of 5:30 PM & 6:30 PM. In June, July, and August: 30-minute closures may occur Mon/Tues/Thurs nights between 6:30 PM & 7:30 PM. In addition, there will also be intermittent traffic stops lasting up to 20 minutes at other times during construction work. No construction work will occur on holidays and Sundays. Effective April 6, 2015, this section of US26 will be restricted to 22 feet 00 in. in width at all hours. Estimated date of completion is October 31, 2015.

Comments: Contractors will be reducing the highway to a single lane around MP47.5 of U.S.97 to start excavation of rock for future road realignment. Contractors will also be surveying locations for new highway signs, and using a bulldozer to clear the work area next to US97 for new passing lanes at MP 43.5 to 45.5. All work will be during the daytime hours and flaggers will be utilized to facilitate lane closures and the rock excavation at MP 47.5. Traffic can expect 5-10 minute delays.
