Road Conditions by Route
I-5 MP 250.15 to 251.76
No to Minimum Delay; Construction Work
Lanes Affected: (Southbound) 1 Lane
Comments: Expect lane shifts especially around the interchange. Watch for increased activity day and night with 20 minute delays. Late next week, the I-5 southbound lanes will be restored to their original alignment. The I-5 southbound ramps will be flagged at night for trucks crossing Kuebler Blvd. Expect up to 20 minute delays between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Intermittently on weeknights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., the southbound right lane will be closed to allow trucks to accelerate and merge with I-5 traffic. Westbound lanes on Kuebler have been restored to their original location. However, eastbound lanes on Kuebler are being shifted slightly to the north to accommodate construction activity. During the day, travelers should watch for construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the work area from Kuebler. Motorists should be aware of the increased construction activity around the interchange, proceed with caution through the work zone and obey posted speed limits. Project Summary: The I-5 Kuebler Interchange Project will address the increasing congestion at the interchange by modifying the existing southbound off ramp, which will decrease the conflicts at Kuebler that have caused back-ups on I-5 southbound. The new ramp will meet modern standards and contain excess capacity. The project will also add a westbound to southbound I-5 loop on ramp and modify the eastbound to southbound I-5 on ramp.
