I-84 MP 31.8 to 44	Estimated delay under 20 minutes; Construction Work Lanes Affected: (Eastbound) Median , All Lanes , Shoulder Comments: Expect lane and ramp closures on I-84 eastbound during night work hours. Lane closures will take place Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. A contractor is working on a project to pave a 14-mile section of I-84 between Multnomah Falls and Cascade Locks. The project includes paving ramps along I-84 and installing new guardrails and medians. Daytime and nighttime lane closures will take place on this project. Ramp closures will also be necessary for paving and to prevent motorists from entering work zones. The contractor will continue grinding and paving I-84 between Multnomah Falls and Cascade Locks during the week of Monday, Aug. 30, through Thursday, Sept. 2. This work will require overnight eastbound right and potential westbound right lane closures each night Monday-Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The contractor will only work in one direction at a time starting in the eastbound lanes at the beginning of the week. Possible westbound lane closures could begin Wednesday. The contractor will continue work on the I-84 westbound Eagle Creek viaduct. I-84 at Cascade Locks interchange (milepost 44): Watch for weekday single-lane closures westbound. Watch for roadside work crews and equipment. On the roadway connecting U.S. 30 to S.E. Frontage Road (beneath I-84), watch for daytime alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers to accommodate detour bridge demolition. I-84 at Moffett Creek: The contractor is finishing barriers and retaining walls. Watch for single-lane closures weekdays around the clock. Expect delays. I-84 at milepost 64 (Hood River): The contractor is paving the temporary roadway and widening off-ramps. Expect single-lane closures westbound around the clock. The westbound right lane must exit. The speed limit is reduced to 55 mph. Watch for roadside work crews and equipment around the clock. Watch for vehicles entering and exiting the travel lanes. Traffic to one lane each direction. Use caution through the work zone During the week of August 30th to September 5th, the contractor will be installing girders and constructing retaining walls. Expect minor delays. A detour for wide loads will be in effect during this time. During the week of August 30th to September 5th, the contractor will be overlaying the bridge deck. All work will be conducted at night. Expect single lane closures and possible short delays. During the week of August 30th to September 5th, the contractor will be performing miscellaneous clean up work, installing signs, and placing striping. Sign Installation and fog line striping will be performed during daylight hours without lane closures. Centerline striping will occur between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. with a single lane closure. ORE35 MP 73.81 to 73.83	Informational only; Construction Work Lanes Affected: (Westbound) Median , All Lanes , Shoulder (Eastbound) Median , All Lanes , Shoulder Comments: Traffic on Highway 35 is restricted to one-way travel for ¼-mile at Cooper Spur Road and is controlled by a temporary signal. Work is under way on a project to construct a bridge on Oregon Highway 35 crossing Polallie Creek, near Cooper Spur Road. The bridge will replace two culverts that currently carry Polallie Creek under Highway 35. In the past, this area has experienced debris flows in the winter damaging the roads and bridges. This project will raise the roadway and bridge four feet to better accommodate minor debris flows. During the week of Monday, Aug. 30, through Thursday, Sept. 2, the contractor will continue drilling on Highway 35 near Cooper Spur Road. Traffic on Highway 35 will be restricted to one-way travel for ¼-mile and will be controlled by a temporary signal until approximately November 2010. Delays are expected to be minimal.
