US20 is under full reconstruction in downtown Sisters between Pine Street and Larch Street with two separate detours for vehicles. Passenger vehicles detour on Main and Hood Avenues and freight truck vehicles detour on Barclay Drive and Locust Street. There is vehicle access on US20 from Pine Street to Elm Street. Pedestrian access is open to all businesses located on US20 within the reconstruction section. Traffic control changes including a temporary signal and stop sign changes. All traffic lanes on US20 are anticipated to be reopened in mid- May.

The opening of the remainder of McKenzie Pass to motorized vehicles will be on or after the third Monday in June, depending on the snow pack depth and upcoming weather conditions.

Eastbound and westbound truck traffic will be directed to use Barclay Dr and Locust St to avoid the closure. This detour is approved for over-dimension loads as well. Estimated date of completion is June 15, 2014.

Comments: Construction will be finishing up on the west side and moving to the east side. All contracting work will be on the south bound side. Week of 4-21 Cascade Gas will be finishing up on the west side and moving to the east side. TOMCO will start pole base installation conduit placement on 4-23 if gas is moved. KRC will start conduit excavation on the west side on 4-24. Week of 4-28 Cascade will be finishing up any loose ends. TOMCO will be placing pole bases and conduit. KRC will be excavating for conduit and grading for sidewalk. RLC will be starting sidewalks on 4-30. All contracting work will be on the south bound side.

Comments: On US97 between Pinebrook and the 3rd Street/Business 97 exit, there will be bridge construction in the median and shoulders during daytime. Exit 141 to 3rd Street from US97 is closed. Southbound US97 highway traffic can access 3rd Street (US97 Business) using eastbound Powers Road. Northbound US97 highway traffic can access 3rd Street (US97 Business) (US20 Route) using Badger Road. Southbound 3rd Street (US97 Business) will be closed south of Murphy Road. Southbound 3rd Street (US97 Business) traffic can use Pinebrook to get onto US97. Business Access remains open for all businesses on 3rd Street.
