Comments: Construction activity near interchange. Expect night lane closures on I 5 south bound. On May 6, expect south I 5 on ramp closure for 2 weeks. Detour. Update: Motorists should be aware of the increased construction activity around the interchange, proceed with caution through the work zone and obey posted speed limits. Expect intermittent night time lane closures on I-5 south bound. Starting at 9 p.m., Friday, May 6, the south bound on-ramp to I-5 will be closed through Sunday, May 22. Traffic will be directed to enter I-5 northbound, take Exit 253 (OR 22/OR 99E Business Exit), cross over and enter I-5 southbound. Project Summary: The I-5 Kuebler Interchange Project will address the increasing congestion at the interchange by modifying the existing southbound off ramp, which will decrease the conflicts at Kuebler that have caused back-ups on I-5 southbound. The new ramp will meet modern standards and contain excess capacity. The project will also add a westbound to southbound I-5 loop on ramp and modify the eastbound to southbound I-5 on ramp.
