Estimated delay under 20 minutes; Construction Work
Comments: Periodic daytime single lane closures on 10th Avenue (between Maple and Baseline), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well on Baseline. Project Description: ODOT and the City of Hillsboro are partnering on a paving and utility improvement project on Oregon Highway 8 – Tualatin Valley (TV) Highway/Baseline Street – between Southwest Minter Bridge Road and Southwest 331st Avenue. Work on TV Highway involves grinding, reconstructing, paving, and restriping; significantly upgrading the City’s water and storm water systems; improving more than 100 ADA ramps (accessible curb ramps); and repairing and paving the Dairy Creek Bridge. Traffic Impacts: Travelers should expect a continuous, double lane closure (right and center lane) on Baseline Street from 1st Avenue to Adams Avenue to reconstruct and repave the highway through Saturday morning, June 27. Flaggers are directing all traffic at the intersection of Baseline Street and 1st Avenue. Travelers should expect nighttime lane closures beginning Monday night, June 29 through Thursday morning, July 2 to finish most of the remaining paving work from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. During the nighttime work, the following sections will be paved: • Baseline Street from 7th Avenue to 5th Avenue • Baseline Street from Adams Avenue to just beyond Dennis Avenue • A small section of Oak Street west of Dennis Avenue On Monday night June 29 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., flaggers will be controlling all directions of traffic at the intersection of Baseline Street and 7th Avenue. Access to Tuality Hospital will be maintained at all times. Paving work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if it rains. • TriMet service on Baseline Street will be intermittently affected during this reconstruction work. Temporary bus stop closures will be communicated on www.TriMet.org and at the bus stops. • Driveways into and out of businesses and residences on Baseline Street will have access during the lane closures. There may be delays getting into/out of driveways if the contractor is actively working in front of the driveway. The contractor will be placing “business open” signs at the driveway entrances so customers know to patronize businesses.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns/trouble with accessing your business or residence during this work. • Expect intermittent daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 10th Avenue from Baseline Street to Maple Street for electrical work.
